March 25th in Baha'i History




• 1912 - ‘Abdu’l-Bahá boards the S.S. Cedric in Alexandria, heading for the United States

1930 - As Shoghi Effendi's secretary wrote on his behalf to an individual believer on 25 March 1930, 'The contents of the Will of the Master are far too much for the present generation to comprehend. It needs at least a century of actual working before the treasures of wisdom hidden in it can be revealed...' (Adib Taherzadeh, The Covenant of Baha'u'llah, p. 441)

• 1957 - Death of Hand of the Cause of God George Townshend

• 1992 - Death of Hand of the Cause and prominent American Bahá’í William Sears

• 1998 - Death of Universal House of Justice member Hugh Chance

You should consider tracking down Star of the West and or Baha'i News which was released as scanned pdfs which could perhaps supplement some dates.

Thanks I shall consider it. I would really like to find Bahai World volumes in electronic format.

at least parts of three are available - one is at baha'i-library.com and two can be downloaded from here.

It is my understanding that the whole set is being worked on along with various other Baha'i serial publications.
