February 8th in Baha'i History





1917 - Tablet of the Divine Plan for the Baha'i's of the Central States revealed.

Revealed on February 8, 1917,in Bahá'u'lláh's room at the house of Abbud in 'Akká, and addressed to the Bahá'ís of the twelve Central States of the United States:Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana,Ohio, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri,North Dakota, South Dakota,Nebraska and Kansas. 1965 - Appointment of five Continental Pioneer Committees (The Universal House of Justice, Messages 1963 to 1986, p. 47)

1970 - Radiation of Thought Will Not Bring Peace

"I might add that He does not believe any radiations of thought or healing, from any group, is going to bring peace. Prayer, no doubt, will help the world, but what it needs is to accept Bahá'u'lláh's system so as to build up the World Order on a new foundation, a divine foundation..."
